About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Senior Architectural Technician to join their established practice on a fully remote basis. This role involves taking ownership of the technical detailing and drawing production for a range of exciting projects, ensuring that design intent is accurately translated into buildable solutions. You will be a key point of contact for technical queries, working closely with architects, engineers, and contractors. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking for a remote role that offers autonomy and the chance to contribute significantly to impactful projects, while being based remotely from Southampton or elsewhere in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed architectural drawings, construction information, and technical specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Ensure all technical documentation complies with current UK building regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with architects and consultants to resolve design and technical issues.
- Conduct site inspections remotely where feasible or liaise with site teams for progress monitoring.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and designers.
- Manage drawing revisions and maintain organised project files for easy access.
Requirements
- Significant experience as an Architectural Technician or Technologist.
- Proficiency in Revit is essential; strong AutoCAD skills are also required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, suitable for a remote work environment.
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines independently.
