About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Architectural Technician to join their established practice based in Southampton . This role is crucial for delivering high-quality technical documentation and ensuring the seamless execution of construction projects. You will leverage your extensive technical expertise to produce detailed drawings, specifications, and NBS schedules, while overseeing projects from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings, BIM models , and construction information using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Prepare and issue technical specifications and schedules, including NBS specifications.
- Ensure all technical designs comply strictly with current building regulations , British Standards, and relevant legislation.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure design intent is met.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to facilitate project delivery.
- Manage and mentor junior technicians, fostering best practices in technical detailing.
Requirements
- Significant experience as an Architectural Technician or Senior Architectural Technician.
- Expert proficiency in Revit (BIM) and AutoCAD software.
- In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations , construction methods, and materials.
- Experience in preparing detailed specifications and tender documentation.
- Strong understanding of contract administration and site supervision.
- Relevant HNC/HND or degree in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
