Key Responsibilities
- Develop and produce high-quality technical drawings, construction details, and specifications using CAD and BIM software.
- Ensure all technical documentation meets current UK building regulations and relevant standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical queries and ensure design intent is maintained.
- Undertake site visits to verify construction progress and compliance with technical documents.
- Manage the technical information flow for projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Mentor and support junior architectural technicians, sharing expertise and best practices.
Requirements
- Significant experience as an Architectural Technician or Technologist.
- Expertise in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and familiarity with BIM software (e.g., Revit).
- Comprehensive understanding of UK building regulations, construction methods, and materials science.
- Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple technical aspects of projects effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills.
