About the Role
Our client, a prestigious architectural firm based in the heart of London , is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join their dynamic team. This pivotal role involves contributing to a variety of exciting projects, from conceptual design through to detailed construction documentation. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between design aspirations and practical execution, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and technical proficiency. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on landmark developments and to mentor junior members of the technical team within a collaborative and innovative studio environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical drawings, specifications, and Building Information Modelling (BIM) models using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design intent is accurately translated into buildable solutions.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Prepare tender packages and construction documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant building regulations and standards.
- Manage and coordinate the work of junior technologists and technicians on assigned projects.
- Liaise with planning authorities and building control bodies to secure necessary approvals and consents.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist or similar role.
- Proficiency in Revit and other relevant architectural software suites, including advanced BIM capabilities.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse project teams.
- Relevant degree or HND in Architectural Technology or a related field.
