About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join their innovative team in Cambridge . This role is central to translating complex architectural designs into practical, buildable solutions. You will play a key role in producing high-quality technical documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Working within a collaborative studio environment, you will contribute to a wide array of projects, from residential developments to commercial buildings, applying your technical expertise to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical drawings, specifications, and BIM models for architectural projects.
- Ensure all designs comply with current UK Building Regulations, planning conditions, and British Standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical queries and design issues.
- Manage project documentation and specifications throughout the construction process.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to technical plans.
- Mentor junior architectural technologists and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
- Significant experience as an Architectural Technologist, with a strong portfolio of technical detailing.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD and proficiency with BIM software such as Revit.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and UK building regulations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and contribute effectively to a team in Cambridge .
