About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join their dynamic, remote-first team. This pivotal role will see you taking a lead on the technical design and detailing of diverse architectural projects, ensuring that design intent is translated into buildable, compliant, and efficient solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and produce comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and building information modeling (BIM) data for architectural projects.
- Lead the technical design process from concept through to construction, ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and relevant standards.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients in a virtual setting, facilitating clear communication and problem-solving.
- Undertake site visits and surveys as required, remotely coordinating with on-site personnel to ensure project quality and adherence to design.
- Mentor and support junior members of the architectural technology team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on technical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technologist or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency.
- In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction methods, and materials.
- Proficiency in Revit and other relevant architectural software, with a strong understanding of BIM workflows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective remote collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet demanding deadlines in a remote setting.
- Degree or HND in Architectural Technology or a related field.
