About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Architectural Technologist to bolster their technical design capabilities, offering a flexible remote working arrangement to support their projects, including those based in Reading . This role is critical for bridging the gap between design and construction, ensuring that architectural visions are translated into buildable realities through meticulous technical detailing and documentation. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction processes to lead technical aspects of diverse projects, working within a collaborative, distributed team that values precision and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the production of high-quality technical design packages, including drawings, specifications, and BIM models .
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on construction methods, materials, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and other consultants in a remote setting.
• Manage and review the work of junior technicians and technologists.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during design and construction phases.
• Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and best practices in architectural technology.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) as an Architectural Technologist or similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, including experience with complex BIM projects.
• In-depth understanding of UK building regulations, construction law, and contractual procedures.
• Proven ability to manage technical aspects of multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a remote team environment.
