About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join their dynamic team in the heart of London . This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between design conception and construction execution, ensuring technical feasibility and high-quality project delivery. You will be instrumental in producing detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for a variety of challenging architectural projects. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, engineers, and construction professionals, contributing significantly to innovative and sustainable building designs, and will be a key player in a firm renowned for its cutting-edge work and commitment to design excellence within the vibrant urban landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and produce comprehensive technical design packages, including detailed drawings, BIM models , and specifications using industry-standard software.
- Coordinate closely with project architects and external consultants (structural, MEP, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of all design elements.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, resolve technical queries, and ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.
- Manage and mentor junior technologists and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to resolve site issues and ensure compliance with building regulations and technical requirements.
- Prepare and present technical information to clients and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and precision.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of professional experience as an Architectural Technologist or similar role.
- Proficiency in Revit and other relevant architectural software suites, including AutoCAD.
- In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
- Proven experience in managing technical documentation and delivering complex projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of BIM (Building Information Modelling) principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
