About the Role
Our client, a highly regarded architectural practice that champions remote working, is seeking a talented Senior Architectural Technologist to contribute to their ongoing success. This role involves translating complex architectural designs into highly detailed, buildable construction information, working seamlessly with teams across the country. You will be instrumental in ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and construction feasibility for a diverse range of projects. Key Responsibilities
- Produce comprehensive technical drawings, construction details, and specifications using advanced CAD and BIM software.
- Ensure all technical documentation adheres to current UK building regulations, planning legislation, and British Standards.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical challenges and ensure design intent is realised.
- Manage the technical documentation process for projects, from initial concept development through to site completion.
- Conduct site visits and virtual assessments to monitor construction progress and quality.
- Mentor junior technologists and contribute to the continuous improvement of technical workflows.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist, with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical expertise.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with a thorough understanding of BIM Level 2 requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and UK building regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, essential for remote collaboration.
- Degree or HND/HNC in Architectural Technology or a closely related field.
