Job Description
A strong local housing association based in NW of England, is looking for their next Senior Assets Surveyor , capable leading an experienced team of surveyors and establish as a technical expert in surveying matters.

Salary: £52,480-£56,940 annum Pension: up to 18 % contribution. Annual leave: 26 days + bank holidays, plus paid time off over Christmas. Flexible working Mileage - business purpose
The Role
Reporting to the Asset Surveying Lead, you will provide technical leadership, quality assurance, and day-to-day management of the Asset Surveying team. The focus is on driving high standards, improving customer outcomes, and supporting the transition from reactive repairs to proactive asset management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach and develop a team of Asset Surveyors. Manage quality assurance across: Disrepair inspections Damp, Mould & Condensation investigations Void inspections Repairs inspections HHSRS assessments Stock Condition Surveys Act as the technical lead on complex and high-risk cases, including structural defects, complaints and escalated disrepair matters. Review survey outputs, ensure consistency of specifications, and identify opportunities for service improvement. Work closely with Asset Strategy, Repairs, Compliance and Delivery teams to support long-term investment and asset decisions.
What They're Looking For
Significant experience in property or asset surveying within social housing or a regulated environment. Experience leading, mentoring or managing surveying professionals. Strong knowledge of: Disrepair Damp, Mould & Condensation
Hhsrs
Voids and repairs Structural defects A relevant surveying, construction or asset management qualification. RICS, CIOB, HNC/HND or equivalent experience would be advantageous - not mandatory
