Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 (depending on experience)

A boutique, non-corporate law firm in Cheltenham is seeking a Senior Associate to lead its General Litigation offering. This is a rare opportunity to join a close-knit, relaxed team and take ownership of a department with genuine scope for progression.

The Role

This position offers a varied caseload focused on general litigation, including debt recovery and contract disputes (non-property). You'll work independently, supported by a consultant and legal executive, both currently at full capacity. The role is ideal for someone confident, self-sufficient, and ready to shape the future of litigation within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a broad range of general litigation matters
• Handling debt recovery and contract disputes
• Operating with autonomy and minimal supervision
• Collaborating with senior colleagues to develop the department
• Contributing to the firm's long-term strategy and growth

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

• 5+ years PQE in litigation
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently
• Interest in long-term progression and leadership
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Desire to work in a non-corporate, supportive environment
