Senior Auditor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and meticulous Senior Auditor to join their assurance services team in Sheffield . This role is fundamental to providing independent, objective assurance on the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes within the organization. You will lead audit engagements, manage audit teams, and communicate findings and recommendations to senior management. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize complex internal audits across various business units.
• Lead and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance and feedback.
• Assess risks and controls, identifying areas for improvement and control weaknesses.
• Develop clear, concise, and actionable audit reports for management and the audit committee.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
• Ensure audit work complies with professional standards and internal methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional auditing certification (e.g., CIA, ACA, ACCA) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal or external auditing, preferably within financial services.
• Strong understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
