About the Role

Our client seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Auditor to join their dynamic team in Wolverhampton . This role is integral to assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and identifying areas for operational improvement across the organization. You will conduct comprehensive audits, analyze findings, and collaborate with various departments to implement corrective actions. Operating in a hybrid model, you will balance office-based collaboration with remote work flexibility, contributing to the company's commitment to operational excellence and accountability within the West Midlands .

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits in accordance with audit schedules and professional standards.
• Assess financial, operational, and compliance risks within the organization.
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
• Gather and analyze audit evidence, documenting findings clearly and concisely.
• Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, risks, and recommendations for management.
• Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
• Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIA) or actively pursuing one.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in internal or external audit.
• Strong understanding of auditing principles, risk assessment, and internal control frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
