Senior Auditor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Auditor to join their internal audit team, operating on a fully remote basis. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on a variety of internal audits across the organisation, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, identifying operational efficiencies, and mitigating risks. You will play a key part in strengthening the company's internal control environment and providing assurance to senior management and the board. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with professional standards.
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, identifying control weaknesses and proposing remediation actions.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and conclusions clearly and concisely.
• Communicate audit results and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
• Perform follow-up procedures to ensure that management action plans are implemented effectively.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of the annual audit plan and risk assessment process.

Requirements

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in internal or external audit.
• Strong understanding of auditing principles, internal controls, risk management, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques for audit purposes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
