About the Role

Our client, a well-established financial services provider in Nottingham , is looking for an experienced Senior Auditor to join their internal audit team. This hybrid role is essential for assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance throughout the organization. You will conduct audits, identify control weaknesses, and recommend practical solutions to improve operational efficiency and compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits across various departments and business units.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance structures.
• Identify and document audit findings, control deficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Develop practical and actionable recommendations for management to address audit findings.
• Prepare clear and concise audit reports for management and the audit committee.
• Follow up on the implementation of management's action plans to ensure timely closure of audit issues.

Requirements

• Qualified Auditor (e.g., CIA, ACA, ACCA) or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in internal audit or external audit, preferably within the financial services sector .
• Solid understanding of audit principles, risk assessment, and internal control frameworks.
• Proficiency in data analysis and audit software.
• Strong report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing office-based duties and remote work, based in Nottingham .
