Senior Auditor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Auditor to join their internal audit department based in Nottingham . This role is responsible for executing financial and operational audits, evaluating internal controls, and ensuring compliance with company policies and external regulations. You will play a key part in identifying risks and recommending improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's operations. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with audit plans.
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls and identify control weaknesses.
• Gather and analyze audit evidence, documenting findings and conclusions.
• Prepare clear and concise audit reports, including recommendations for management.
• Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Collaborate with management to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in internal or external auditing.
• Strong understanding of auditing principles, internal controls, and risk management.
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly preferred.
