As a Senior Automation Engineer, the work centres on the Senior Automation Engineer will ensure that Safety comes first in all Facilities efforts. It would suit someone who can bring careful technical judgement and practical problem-solving to the role.
How the role is set up
Here at Amazon we are looking to hire an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join the team at our Fulfillment Center (FC) in EMA2, Mansfield. Design/implement/document control solutions for material handling systems, act as a liaison for internal and external resources, and be on call as needed.
Engineering work involved
The Senior Automation Engineer will ensure that Safety comes first in all Facilities efforts. The following roles and responsibilities are required for a successful Senior Automation Engineer. Preparing specifications and technical detail to fully define performance on equipment, material and services.
Technical skills and requirements
- This position requires strong project management skills, effective communication skills, being self-directed, and the ability to multi-task.
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Experience with PLC-controlled automation.
