About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and expert Senior Automotive Cybersecurity Specialist to join their fully remote security team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safeguarding the connected vehicle's systems against evolving cyber threats. You will develop and implement robust security strategies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with global automotive cybersecurity standards. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and policies for connected vehicle platforms.
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analyses of automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and communication networks.
• Design and oversee the implementation of security measures, including encryption, authentication, and intrusion detection systems.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and regulatory requirements in the automotive industry.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security requirements throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, providing detailed post-mortem analyses and remediation plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in cybersecurity, with a specialization in the automotive sector .
• In-depth knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, Automotive Ethernet) and their security implications.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as ISO 21434, UN R155, and GDPR.
• Experience with penetration testing, vulnerability assessment tools, and secure coding practices.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems security and cryptography.
