About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Automotive Design Engineer to join their esteemed design studio in Bristol . This role involves conceptualizing and developing the aesthetic and functional aspects of future vehicle designs. You will work closely with the Head of Design and the wider engineering team to translate creative visions into tangible, production-ready designs. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional artistic talent, a deep understanding of automotive design principles, and proficiency in industry-standard design software. This is a unique opportunity to shape the visual identity of upcoming automotive models.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative and compelling exterior and interior automotive design concepts.
- Create high-quality 3D models and renderings using industry-leading CAD and visualization software.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and compliance with technical requirements.
- Present design proposals effectively to internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Stay current with automotive design trends, material innovations, and competitor activities.
- Refine designs based on feedback, prototyping, and user testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in automotive exterior or interior design .
- Expert proficiency in design software such as Alias, Blender, or similar 3D modeling and rendering tools.
- Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills and creativity in automotive applications.
- Excellent understanding of vehicle packaging, ergonomics, and manufacturing processes.
