Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced remote diagnostics on a wide range of vehicle makes and models using sophisticated software and remote access tools.
- Provide clear, concise technical guidance and troubleshooting support to on-site technicians via phone, video conference, and digital platforms.
- Analyze diagnostic data, identify root causes of complex failures, and recommend appropriate repair strategies.
- Develop and document best practices for vehicle diagnostics and repair, contributing to a central knowledge base.
- Stay abreast of the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic equipment, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback on vehicle system performance and diagnostic challenges.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Diagnostic Technician , with a strong emphasis on complex troubleshooting.
- In-depth knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems, engine management, CAN bus communication, and hybrid/electric vehicle technology.
- Proficiency with various OEM diagnostic software and hardware, and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical staff.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, IMI qualifications) are highly desirable.
