About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Engineer to join their innovative product development team based in Coventry . You will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and testing of new automotive components and systems, contributing to cutting-edge projects. This position requires a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, working closely with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and testing. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of specific automotive systems or components, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of new designs, analyzing results and making necessary modifications.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure seamless integration of components into the production process.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the broader engineering team.

Requirements

• Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant experience in automotive product design and development, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, powertrain systems, or electronic control units (ECUs).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
