Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Automotive Mechanical Engineer to join their advanced engineering department in Liverpool . Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop key mechanical systems, including powertrain, chassis, or suspension components, using advanced CAD/CAE tools.
- Lead engineering projects, from initial concept through to prototype build, testing, and production launch.
- Conduct thorough analysis and simulation (e.g., FEA, CFD) to optimize designs for performance, durability, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists.
- Troubleshoot complex engineering issues and implement effective solutions to ensure product quality and reliability.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
- Significant experience (5+ years) in automotive mechanical design and development.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, thermodynamics, and material science.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
