Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and integration of automotive powertrain components and systems, including engine, transmission, and hybrid/electric systems.
- Define system requirements, performance targets, and testing strategies for powertrain development.
- Conduct detailed analysis and simulation of powertrain performance, efficiency, and emissions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality powertrain solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex powertrain-related issues, providing expert technical guidance.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the advancement of powertrain engineering best practices within a remote setting.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in automotive powertrain development.
- In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines, electric powertrains, or hybrid systems.
- Proficiency in powertrain simulation tools (e.g., GT-SUITE, MATLAB/Simulink) and data analysis.
- Experience with vehicle testing and validation of powertrain systems.
