About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Automotive Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the highest standards of product quality at their facility in Bristol . You will play a critical role in developing and implementing robust quality management systems, processes, and procedures throughout the entire product lifecycle. This position requires a deep understanding of automotive quality standards and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks. You will be instrumental in maintaining our client's reputation for excellence in the competitive automotive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance plans and procedures for automotive components and systems.
- Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes, supplier quality, and internal operations to ensure compliance with standards.
- Analyze quality data, identify root causes of defects, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to integrate quality considerations early in the development process.
- Manage customer feedback and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and guide junior QA team members, fostering a quality-centric culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in Quality Assurance within the automotive industry, with a strong understanding of IATF 16949 and relevant quality tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA).
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective quality management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in supplier quality management is a plus.
