Senior Automotive Software Engineer (ADAS)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Automotive Software Engineer specializing in Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) to join their innovation hub in Oxford . Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software for ADAS features, including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking.
• Integrate software components with vehicle hardware, sensors (e.g., cameras, radar, LiDAR), and ECUs.
• Conduct software testing, debugging, and validation using simulation tools and real-world vehicle testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and architecture.
• Contribute to the development of safety-critical software according to automotive standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality software.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in automotive software development.
• Significant experience with ADAS technologies and their underlying software architectures.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Familiarity with software development tools, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of sensor fusion, computer vision, and machine learning concepts.
