About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Automotive Systems Engineer to join their innovative team in Edinburgh , operating on a hybrid model. You will be responsible for defining, integrating, and validating complex automotive systems, ensuring they meet stringent performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. This role involves working across different engineering disciplines to architect robust system solutions and troubleshoot intricate issues. Key Responsibilities

• Define system architecture and requirements for new automotive features and platforms.
• Lead the integration of various subsystems, including software, hardware, and mechanical components.
• Develop and execute system validation plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
• Analyze system performance data and identify areas for improvement or optimization.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in automotive systems engineering , with a focus on complex vehicle architectures.
• Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Experience with system modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
• Proficiency in requirements management tools and system design methodologies.
