Senior Aviation Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and dynamic Senior Aviation Project Manager to lead critical projects within their expanding operations in Bristol . This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex aviation projects on time and within budget. You will oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution and closure, managing cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and resources effectively. This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of aviation projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clear communication and task allocation.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project status updates.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation standards and company policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager , with a significant focus on the aviation or aerospace industry.
• Demonstrable success in managing large, complex projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
