About the Role

Our client is recruiting a highly experienced and meticulous Senior Aviation Safety Investigator to join their dedicated investigation team based in Edinburgh . In this crucial role, you will lead and conduct complex investigations into aviation accidents and incidents, determining root causes and contributing to the implementation of safety recommendations to prevent future occurrences. You will work within a rigorous investigative framework, liaising with various regulatory bodies, industry experts, and bereaved families with utmost professionalism and sensitivity. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the end-to-end investigation of major aviation accidents and significant incidents.
• Gather and analyze evidence, including wreckage examination, flight data recorder analysis, and witness interviews.
• Prepare comprehensive and accurate investigation reports, including findings and safety recommendations.
• Liaise effectively with national and international regulatory authorities, industry stakeholders, and legal counsel.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of investigative techniques and safety standards.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in aviation accident/incident investigation.
