About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Aviation Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives for their operations in Glasgow . This strategic role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the company's safety culture and compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of aviation safety management systems (SMS) and a passion for promoting a proactive safety environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee the company's Aviation Safety Management System (SMS).
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture through training, awareness programs, and effective communication.
• Liaise with aviation regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with all relevant safety legislation.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in aviation safety management , with a proven track record in a senior role.
• In-depth knowledge of ICAO Annex 19, EASA, and UK CAA safety regulations.
• Experience in risk management, incident investigation, and safety assurance processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels in Glasgow .
