Senior Aviation Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Aviation Security Manager to lead their security operations based in Bristol . You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive security strategies to protect personnel, assets, and operations against threats. This role requires strong leadership, excellent risk management skills, and a deep understanding of aviation security protocols and regulatory frameworks. You will work closely with regulatory bodies, law enforcement, and internal teams to ensure the highest levels of security across all aviation-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust aviation security policies, procedures, and contingency plans.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee security operations, including access control, screening, and surveillance systems.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international aviation security regulations.
• Manage and train a team of security personnel, fostering a culture of vigilance and professionalism.
• Liaise with government agencies, law enforcement, and other stakeholders on security matters.
• Investigate security incidents and breaches, providing comprehensive reports and recommendations.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in aviation security management or a related security leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation security legislation, standards, and best practices (e.g., DfT, ICAO).
• Proven experience in risk assessment, threat analysis, and emergency response planning.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage complex security operations and large teams.
• Relevant security qualifications or certifications are highly desirable.
