About the Role
Our client, a leading innovator in aerospace technology, is seeking an accomplished Senior Aviation Systems Engineer to join their dynamic, fully remote team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and integration of complex avionics systems and software for next-generation aircraft.
- Define system requirements, architecture, and verification strategies, ensuring compliance with stringent aviation standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254).
- Perform detailed systems engineering analysis , including FMEA, trade studies, and simulation, to validate designs.
- Collaborate closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and flight test teams to ensure seamless system integration and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues throughout the product lifecycle, providing expert support to cross-functional teams.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the remote team.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering within the aerospace or aviation industry.
- Proven track record in the design and development of safety-critical flight control systems or avionics.
- In-depth knowledge of embedded systems , real-time operating systems (RTOS), and communication protocols (e.g., ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553).
- Proficiency with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, MATLAB/Simulink, and configuration management software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for effective remote teamwork.
