Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Aviation Systems Software Engineer to join their cutting-edge, remote-first development team. Key Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and deploy high-quality software for complex aviation systems , adhering to strict safety and reliability standards.
- Develop and maintain embedded software, real-time operating systems, and flight control algorithms.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and systems architects to define software requirements and architecture.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure software quality and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in a remote development environment .
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and tools within the aerospace domain .
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience, with at least 4 years focused on aviation or aerospace systems .
- Proficiency in C/C++, Ada, or other relevant programming languages for embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS), embedded systems design, and software safety standards (e.g., DO-178C).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fully remote , collaborative team structure.
