Senior Avionics Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Avionics Engineer to join their innovative team in Reading . This hybrid role focuses on the design, development, and integration of advanced avionics systems for next-generation aircraft. You will lead critical projects, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and play a key role in ensuring the seamless functionality and reliability of complex electronic systems in the aviation domain. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and integration of sophisticated avionics systems , including communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
• Perform system requirements analysis, architecture definition, and interface control.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of avionics hardware and software components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to avionics systems throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including software, hardware, and systems engineers.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of avionics design and development processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics, or a related field.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in avionics engineering , with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of avionics standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254) and avionic communication protocols (e.g., ARINC 429, AFDX).
• Proficiency with relevant design and simulation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, suited for a hybrid working model.
