Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Avionics Systems Engineer to join their dedicated team in Cardiff, Wales . This critical role involves the design, integration, testing, and certification of complex avionics systems for next-generation aircraft. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate avionics systems, including communication, navigation, surveillance, and flight control systems.
- Perform system requirements analysis, architecture design, and interface definition for avionics subsystems.
- Conduct hardware and software integration testing, validation, and verification activities.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations (e.g., EASA, FAA) and industry standards throughout the development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex avionics system issues, providing technical expertise during development and operational phases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in the design, integration, and testing of complex avionics systems .
- Strong knowledge of aerospace communication protocols, data buses (e.g., ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553), and software development processes.
- Experience with system modeling and simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration in Cardiff .
