About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Senior Backend Developer to join their technology team in Nottingham . Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Optimize application performance, database interactions, and system architecture for scalability and efficiency.
• Write clean, well-structured, and thoroughly tested code, participating actively in code reviews.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and cross-functional teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Implement and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting systems for backend services.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues encountered in development and production environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development .
• Proficiency in at least one major backend language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, Node.js) and associated frameworks.
• Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases , caching strategies, and API design principles.
• Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in a hybrid work setting in Nottingham .
