Senior Backend Engineer - API Development

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code, primarily focusing on RESTful APIs.
• Develop and optimize database schemas and queries to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Implement security and data protection measures within the backend services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, with a strong emphasis on API design and implementation.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Node.js, Java, or C#.
• Solid understanding of database technologies, including relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies is a plus.
