Senior Backend Engineer - API Development

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure, efficient, and scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, Go).
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define API requirements and specifications.
• Optimize database performance, application logic, and system architecture for high availability and low latency.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and reliable deployment processes.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and participate actively in code reviews and design discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Strong expertise in designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in at least one major backend programming language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, Go).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
