Senior Backend Engineer - API Development

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop robust backend logic and database interactions using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture for scalability and reliability.
• Participate actively in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in a backend language such as Python, Node.js, Java, or C#.
• Experience designing and implementing API specifications (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger).
• Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization is a plus.
