Senior Backend Engineer - Java

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Develop robust RESTful APIs and microservices to support frontend applications and internal systems.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and overall system architecture.
• Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development .
• Expertise in Java and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
• Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with building and consuming RESTful web services.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies is a plus.
