Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend services using Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration with frontend applications and third-party services.
• Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA testers to define project requirements and deliver features on schedule.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring the scalability, security, and maintainability of the backend systems.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a strong emphasis on Java .
• In-depth knowledge of the Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC) and related ecosystem.
• Experience designing and working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in Bradford .
