Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Engineer with a specialization in Microservices Architecture to join their fully remote engineering team. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable, resilient, and efficient microservices using modern languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, Go).
- Build and maintain robust APIs, ensuring seamless integration between various services and systems.
- Optimize application performance, database interactions, and system architecture for high throughput and low latency.
- Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to strict coding standards and participating in rigorous code reviews .
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies to ensure the health and stability of microservices in production.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver impactful features.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a significant focus on building and managing microservices .
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#) and experience with relevant frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Django, FastAPI, .NET Core).
- Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts, including consensus, fault tolerance, and eventual consistency.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and strong communication abilities.
