Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient backend services and APIs using Node.js and relevant frameworks (e.g., Express.js, NestJS).
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features and functionalities.
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, ensuring high standards of quality through code reviews and automated testing.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture for scalability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues, ensuring the stability and availability of production systems.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the evolution of the backend systems and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, with a significant focus on Node.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with asynchronous programming paradigms.
• Solid understanding of database technologies, including relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
• Experience with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and CI/CD best practices.
