Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable backend services using Node.js and related frameworks (e.g., Express.js).
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code adhering to best practices.
• Build and maintain robust APIs (RESTful or GraphQL) for internal and external consumption.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture for scalability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features.
• Participate actively in code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to technical design discussions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a significant focus on JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Proven experience designing and building scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of database technologies, including relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and a proactive approach to development.
