Senior Backend Engineer, Payments Platform

Wise London is hiring a backend engineer to help scale the Direct Debit API and Payin Platform used for automated payments. You will build highly available services in Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot on AWS, design RESTful APIs and manage data across PostgreSQL with Kafka for events.

You’ll collaborate with product, design and other engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure payment flows and improve system performance.
