Senior Backend Engineer - Scalable Systems

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code using languages like Python, Java, or Go.
• Develop and manage robust APIs and microservices that support user-facing applications and internal systems.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features.
• Implement and manage effective monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and stability.
• Participate in code reviews, advocate for best practices, and mentor junior engineers in a collaborative remote environment .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Node.js).
• Deep understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and caching mechanisms.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
