Senior Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Optimize application performance, database interactions, and system architecture for scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Implement and maintain robust testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments.
• Contribute to code reviews, mentorship, and the continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language and associated frameworks.
• Deep understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases, data modeling, and optimization techniques.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
