Senior Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python/Django, Node.js/Express, Java/Spring).
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture for speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to industry best practices and participating actively in code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and frontend engineers, to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Implement security best practices and ensure data protection across the backend systems.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective fixes to minimize downtime and ensure service availability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development .
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as Python, Node.js, Java, or Go.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
