Senior Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, following industry best practices.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture for scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration of services.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and provide technical leadership to junior team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as Node.js, Python, Java, or Go.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker).
