Senior Backend Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join their fully remote team. This role is critical for designing, developing, and maintaining the robust server-side logic and APIs that power our client's core products. You will work on complex challenges related to scalability, performance, and security, contributing to a platform used by a global user base. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code using modern languages and frameworks.
• Develop and manage robust APIs (RESTful and/or GraphQL) to support frontend applications and third-party integrations.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA testers to deliver high-quality features and products.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to architectural discussions to improve system design and development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development .
• Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Node.js , Python, Java, or Go.
• Extensive experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), caching mechanisms, and message queues.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is essential for this remote role.
