Senior Bioinformatician - Transcriptomics

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of RNA-Seq and other transcriptomic data.
• Perform comprehensive statistical analysis of gene expression data, identifying differentially expressed genes, pathways, and regulatory networks.
• Collaborate closely with molecular biologists and experimental scientists to interpret results and guide experimental design.
• Develop and utilize algorithms for variant calling, gene annotation, and pathway analysis.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and reproducibility of all computational analyses.
• Communicate findings through clear reports, visualizations, and presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences in a remote setting.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in bioinformatics, with a specific focus on transcriptomics .
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or R, and experience with common bioinformatics libraries and tools (e.g., Bioconductor, STAR, Salmon).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques applicable to biological data.
• Experience with large-scale data management and working in a cloud computing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills for remote collaboration.
